Past The Veil Poem by Dipro Azad

Past The Veil

Rating: 5.0

When the ripples out her throat,
The blaze of her arrowy eyes
Hit the crevices of my heart
I knew I was blessed high.
Far as my wits venture
I see but a tower of peace
And a smile dripping joy
I knew I was lucky enough.
As for that, the not so shallow
Yet a maladaptive thought
Kept cruising my mind-stream
The demons I never sought.

Almost invisible, a veil cruel
Suspended from thin air
Kept us apart, a fabric of faith
One not of any earthly wear.
And I couldn't breach it alone
For it needs two to be shattered,
All my might failed, too rooted-
To subdue, hope it required.
Are we brave enough to stand
And guard our faces in the sand,
Unite hands and kill the demons,
Only then the veil shall disband.
