Patio Nights Poem by Shelley L Baxter

Patio Nights

Rating: 5.0

Greyish clouds are strewn across the deep dark heavens,
stars not lacking in lustre shine through the sky like a sore thumb...
pulsing and vibrating as the wind rolls along the horizon.
The time is dusk and I feel the hard cool concrete beneath my back,
with each breath I feel free and content...
the night is brand new and I feel blessed to be alive!

This IS terrific. Completely natural and true and well crafted. The language is spot on and shows the person behind the poem. S x
