Pay - Poem by Gayathri B. Seetharam

-Gayathri B. Seetharam
When is Pay Day,
I wonder in longing
To smell the scent of money,
I will make my son a T-shirt
With the line: I like no blood money
I like sweat money
With red and green dollar signs all over;

Pay should come to those who work
With honesty and compliment it with hard work
Or creative work
Pay has the "colour of money"
And the glint of gold
And the scent of achievement.

Topic(s) of this poem: money

Form: Blank Verse
