Payback Poem by Anthony Han

Payback

The sky broke red as blood filled the air
Tear shaped drops crimson drying along the cheeks
Murderer! catch him! was heard around the streets
Echos in the village searching for the kin of this sin
Now unable to achieve the life that could have been

Not of religion yet rambling like a prophet
The one who was missing has come back
With vengeance for mishaps to his own fate
And to the farthest reaches of nowhere
Will only return somewhere

As the angels cry
The dark ones cheer
As the life is lost a new is reborn
Different shades of masks
But the true one always shows
Glowing in the eyes glinting with no mercy

Beastly hairs falling to the dirtied earth
Roots smashed with heavy footsteps
The man who was thought dead now smiling
Leaving this town of backstabbers
With full content his mission a success

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A story describing a man who was betrayed, and after returning to his old village he sought vengeance. The feelings of this write helped me forgive people and friends who did me dirty, and other stuff. At the same time I wanted to make it seem like it took place in the med-evil times or some sort. In general it is a piece to harness my own anger and feelings felt against those who are unjust.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Vanilla Thriller 27 October 2011

This is something I begged myself to stop reading when I started but couldn't because I was drawn towards a person who has decided to take karma into his own hands :) I honestly appreciate this writing for the terrifying poem that it is. Great job!
