Peace March To Square Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Peace March To Square

Rating: 5.0

Does the silent peace march take us to square?
Do we know how to gain freedom and it lies where?
Is it in the buildings or in the palace where king lives?
Or is it the symbolic resistance or signal to which they believe?

How far the bullets may travel and pierce through?
Do they believe it right thing to do or very true?
I feel it is damaging complete confidence built so far
Indiscriminate firing can disperse the mob but can’t win the war

There is stretchable limit for any substance
It can be pulled to certain extent at once
Beyond it will result in breakage or disaster
The whole foundation can be raged to ground faster

The people’s aspirations can wait even longer
They know the reality and are no strangers
The freedom and land mother land is holier than heaven
They are prepared to lead difficult life for it even

The freedom does not come in hand over night
So much blood is shed in determined fight
No one can argue in favor or against with its course
It hardly matters if it thrust upon by peace or force

When time has come to rejoice its fruit
No one can take it away by any kind of loot
The national wealth is public property
It is powerful asset to remove the poverty

The merchant of death may not leave the path easily
They will not show any kind of willingness readily
There are silent ways to force on the perpetuators
The public rage and outburst can be seen as indicator

How many more may be lynched to death for uncertain future?
Who will promise them freedom in land and secure?
Why people are forced to resort to non violent means?
Is it seen as victory on evils by good as clear win?

People may have final say when tyrants have gone
Meanwhile enough damage might have been done
Young and old alike might have lost their precious lives
This can be termed as cowardice act in which they firmly believe

One bloodier encounter may result in heavy blood bath
No one may come forward to force them leave such path
No external but internal pressure can force them to flee
So the innocent country men can feel secure and free

It is commendable approach to adhere to non violence
The eyes of whole world is upon them and attracted hence
Whatever be outcome, there will be respite after turmoil is over
World must live up to expectation and prove humanitarian cover
