Peaceful War Poem by Aisha Sherazi

Peaceful War

I think we should scrap,
Conventional War,
Scrap the tanks,
Guns and bombs no more.

Get rid of the swords,
Get rid of the nukes,
Get rid of the pain,
It makes me want to puke.

Let there be a new war,
A weapon of peace,
To show our agression,
We could just try and tease.

Instead of guns,
We could start a pillow fight,
We could use humour,
To try and show our might.

Let's bash each other,
With pillows on a field,
Professional pillow fights,
Could be what we need.

To make us see,
How ridiculous we are,
With pillow fights,
We could go very far.

Laughter is the cure,
To all this endless pain,
Let's laugh at each other,
And try and refrain.

From hurting each other,
From being so cold,
Let's use pillows,
That would be truly bold.

Nice anti-war poem. I think that if people were not so detached from war the way they are these days, there would be more opposition to it. For most people it just seems like something that is going on far away, that doesn't have much to do with them. Let's hope people take your advise and work out their disagreements with a pillow.
