Perception Free Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Perception Free

Where I am.
And who it is I live to be.
Has been fictioned to perceive.
Without the benefit of reality.
Perceptions don't feed on truth.
To satisfy truth to believe.
Perceptions are just that.
Dreamed wishes.
With hopes to have them visualized.
And realized.
As unsubstantiated possibilities.
Don't perceive who it is,
Described by others.
With their druthers but not see.
Hear me as you listen.
Be with me personally.
I am not fiction.
I am real.
A human that feels.
Not a myth told to behold a fantasy.
And from me to come, go to then leave,
This I guarantee.
You will do this to become,
Perception free.
