Perfectly Clear Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Perfectly Clear

If there is one thing these days,
That has been made perfectly clear.
Truth to have known it,
Has all but disappeared.
And rejected to accept,
Its positive effects.
In the keeping one's mentality.
Kept healthy.

"I can not take this anymore! "

-Take what? -

"All the talk about trust.
Truth and honesty.
And who does or does not deceive.
It's enough to drive folks crazy."

-Well,
There is still left a benefit.-

"A benefit?
What kind of benefit.
Where?
I can't see it."

-Check it out.
No one can now say,
They have no place to go.
And at least that 'drive' to get there,
Won't have many that far to travel.-

"Oh?
You got jokes, huh? "

-Who's joking? -
