Permitted Misdeeds Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Permitted Misdeeds

That anyone clearly,
Methodically pathological.
Can continue to be strategically,
Followed by those...
Apparently overdosed,
By a mixture of both...
Hypnotism and curiosity.
And yet to be so unconsciously...
Addicted.
They can be persuaded,
To walk along a path ignoring...
Flashing danger signs.
With this done to either smile or laugh.
As they trespass.
Claiming to label the one who is followed,
Incompetent, racist, divisive and crazed.

But...
No one disputes,
The influence produced...
Seducing their steps,
To move forward into a web.
Trapped like mice.
By one known to habitually lie.
And pathologically deceives.
Yet await they do,
For a mind this diseased.
To suddenly acknowledge and admit,
Of a lifetime committing...
Permitted misdeeds.

Who...
Among them all to observe and witness,
Can be said to be the fool?
And this to not predict,
Remains believed without argument!
