Phil Poem by Randy McClave

Phil

When my mind is heavy and full of despair
About my neck he is still there,
Part of his soul, I will always proudly wear
And he's always a part of my every prayer.
Time heals they all do say
Maybe next month, or next year, but not today,
I wished I could have just said, stay!
But, God has his own plans in every way.
He was my protector, my defender he was my bro
My love for him, it will always grow,
My smile is the life that he did show
Love and kindness on me he did always bestow.
Sometimes my soul gets so very sad
And it's hard to speak to either mom or dad,
Then I remember my brother, that one large lad
Him hanging around my neck makes me glad.
In this universe we each are just a very small speck
Living to us is just another paycheck,
But, I'm never alone on my life's trek
As I wear my brother in a charm around my neck.
