Pious And Simple Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Pious And Simple

Pious and simple

I always loved
And believed
That if at all there is any kind of heaven
The steering is in hands of mother and simply driven

Where else can I find?
The God is so kind
He gave us pure soul
"Mother" we definitely call

"I will not vacate this house"
She had little grouse
Someone had filled her ears with poison
I tried to convince her with various reasons

She came down with no more remorse
She was happy and in good mood, of course
I made her feel happy
As she was laden with worry

She suddenly left for heavenly abode
I thought someone had cut a joke
But it was reality
The severe blow was caused by an almighty

I cried immensely
As she had departed immediately
Without exchanging a word of advice
I had lot more to promise

No doubt, she was pious and simple
In her early days, she had struggled a lot
We were aware of it
But we were always starved and had nothing to eat
