Planet Lineup Poem by Harley White

Planet Lineup

Rating: 5.0

A planet lineup in the sky,
so seldom does it happen by
arranged in satellitic queue
within the heavens' vast review
to please an astro-gazer's eye.

In pathway orbits on the fly
some seven of them seem to lie
along ecliptic plane debut
a planet lineup.

In very year we occupy,
two thousand twenty five, on high
occurred that scene in yonder blue
of rare parading rendezvous,
as in the welkin one could spy
a planet lineup.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The poem is in the form of a rondeau. Seven planets in the solar system — Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune — will line up in the night sky Friday (Feb.28) in an incredibly rare "planetary parade". ‘Planet parade' 2025: See the ultra-rare planetary alignment peak this week, before Saturn gets swallowed by the sunset… (Live Science) ... Brilliantly written! Love the 5-4-6 stanzas…that is hard to do and make it connect so very well!
