Plans
If I don't do this now, I know
I'd make plans to do it later
this dream, is an integral part
of my soul and my being now
no matter how long it takes
I will, bring it to fruition
It feels as if I was born into it
just maybe, it sprouted
from the seed of my mother's
unattained aspirations
and in the womb the seedling
and I, grew in synchronized beats
I've oft been told, there's nothing
more powerful or dangerous
than an idea - that must be
how this all started
I imagine that one day
its whisper slinked into my thoughts
painted ideas of a life so different
from my current existence
until it became all I think about
that's how I know,
if I don't do this now
I'd surely make plans to do it later
A seed planted deep
inevitably rises to the surface
On another note I'll say that this poem came about when I sat back and wondered just where this dream came from, why have I wanted this one thing for so long? I realized my mother mentioned having a very similar dream when she was younger, before I was born. Thus, the inspiration for this poem came about.

Usually I have a germ of an idea. Jot it down then leave it to mature, confident that something will sprout from it. It sounds as if you are similar to me. It is certainly a very fine poem, Nika, and I find there is a deep affinity there.

To have a dream and have it strong is the first step towards its realization! What ever be the dream, if it is planted deep in your psyche and water it now and then, it will surely sprout and with consistent care it will flourish in the fecund soil of of your imagination and bear fruits! Your notes are equally beautiful Nika! May your dream find fruition! It is from an idea, that great achievements are born!
