Please Don't Poem by Koffi B Sossou

Please Don't

Rating: 4.8

Tell me if it was just a flirt
You set the fire of love in me
And I try every day to keep it burning
But you have torn my heart with betrayal
And with my bloody tears
You consistently fight the loving fire
The fire has gone out
And only heartbreak remains
And tonight you want to set a new fire
Please don't, dragon lady
This heart is still filled with the residue of hot coals that could suffocate you to death

Betrayal can lead to a cold heart. A wonderful poem depicting the many intricacies of love. Well expressed.

Dragon Lady is usually a stereotype of certain East Asian and occasionally South Asian and/or Southeast Asian women as strong, deceitful, domineering, mysterious, and often sexually alluring. Wikipedia' ....I've never married a Dragon Lady; well, maybe one or two. : ) bri
