Father, father please don’t leave me.
I need you to stay with me.
Trough the good times and the bad,
Help me stand tall.
Your footprints in the sand!
Walk with me, talk a while.
Rain or sun keep me safe,
Happy or sad help rest me mind.

Mother, mother don’t you leave me,
I need you to stay with me.
Wrap your arms around me,
don’t you let bad things happen to me.
Help me close my eyes and rest for a while.
Help me wake in the morning,
don’t you go letting me down.

I just need you to stay with me!
