Please Forgive My Snoring Poem by alan brown

Please Forgive My Snoring

The trouble with life these days
is that no-one understands.
I know this from experience
as I have troubled lands.

I get up in the morning
intent to brush my teeth
But as soon as I look in the mirror
I tend to fall asleep.

I've had this problem for many a year
and its hard to live my life.
So please don't sack me from my job
when I turn up late at night.

I fall asleep on buses
and on my local train.
But most of all I fall asleep
when we try to entertain.

I don't think you are boring
it's just that I seem to bend.
And as soon as my head starts nodding
I cannot comprehend.

I take the tablets every day
but they never hit the spot.
Because as soon as I wake back up
I want to sleep a lot.

So if you really love me
and say we will never part.
Please accept my constant snoring
as it comes right from my heart.
