Poems Revised For Fellow Eckists # 4 - A Proclamation Revisited [23 Years Later] - Poem by Mike Barrett

A PROCLAMATION REVISITED
[23 Years Later]

Last night
The heavens held me.

I embraced them
As countless times before.

Again tonight
They've absorbed me -
Have forced me
To write these words;

' Cosmos,
Take one millionth
Of a second.
Silence
Your incessant H u u u u u u u u u u. '

' Listen to me. '

' I still love you! '

' Did you hear that? '

' Know it! '
