Poetry I Like To Write Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Poetry I like to write,
Whether by day or by night,
As long as there are words which HE sends to me,
To be read by you and me.

The message of this poem is not clear,
Until the last word is written down,
My pen on my pad does move
Until the last verse does abound.

I silently ask HIM for words to write,
To make the poem clear by day or night,
Hoping it will rhyme and scan,
To be read by every woman, child or man.

Two verses more until the end,
Then YOU will make me start again,
Putting more words into my mind,
To ask to stop would be unkind.

LORD, I relish the words YOU send,
To teach the world YOUR thoughts anew,
Will we understand the poem when it ends,
As the last word comes into view?
