Poetry's Kiss Method Poem by Shaun Cronick

Poetry's Kiss Method

Rating: 5.0

When writing poems,
Which are always bad.
I often forget poetry's KISS method,
Keep It Simple Stupid.

And even when I use it,
They still turn out bad.

Oh woe is me,
And my poetry.
Hey that rhymed!
I'm getting better!

Nice one Shaun...yes it can often be difficult to keep things simple. Profundity, .simply expressed is a true poet's goal I guess. I think William Blake achieves this in an admirable way in 'Songs of Innocence/ Songs of Experience' and in many of his other poems. One just has to keep on trying one's best. It's definitely a frustrating, but ultimately satisfying five from me!

If it's too bad, it turns good!
