POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My dreams were shattered when I was informed by the Program Coordinator that I was too old to pursue a career as an AM Radio disc jockey. He said that I was an excellent student who could do very well in other areas of the radio industry. As Fate would dictate, my father was laid off work and I decided to work for the post office to help out my parents.
