Poets And Fools - Poem by Robert Green

Dreams are for fools and poets
Let the dreamer dream
And the poet write
And let us mere mortals pine.

From my pen comes dreams
And my dreams I no longer pen
Through the darkness I wade
All I need to say is said.

Clever words that seem so final, a sad thought. (Report) Reply

There is a resolution of finality that seems sad and bereft of hope somehow like a sigh to signify drudgery or futility. (Report) Reply

All i need to say i said........what a final statement to your logic & what confidence...though some point is debatable Robert but as a poem it's lovely... (Report) Reply
