Point Blank Poem by Linda I. Weischedel

Point Blank

I truly meant those words I said the other night,
stating this though they weren't said to start a fight.

When it comes down to it these are the things I
always had to do while around you:
I bit my tounge,
I held back from saying the words that were in my head,
the conversation on the phone I just had to say what HAD to be said!

Trust me I am not dumb,
you are very lucid and you're making it very clear for me to see,
you really don't care too much for me.
This is okay it's alright, I spoke my peace to you the other night.

Even though I'm sure I could come out with some more,
yet you are now standing in the center of my welcomed door,
you can either come in and stay or turn and walk,
one way or the other it doesn't matter anyway.
