Pomegranate Iii - Poem by Eila Mahima Jaipaul

picking through the pomegranate
not as affected as I'd wish.
its sweet, though
not sufficient to sway my evasive ennui
boredom dries the juice on my fingertips
but the stains on the bowl will wash out.
