Portrait Of An Old Man Poem by Dorsey Baker

Portrait Of An Old Man

Rating: 4.0

It's a mansion
Upon its walls hanging
A portrait
That stands out
A very handsome man
In his elderly years
You can tell by
The cut of his clothes
You can tell by
The darkness in
His deep set eyes

You can tell
By the way he holds his hands
The big cigars in his mouth
Expensive whiskey
In his glass
Looking at him
It is evident
He has lived
A very prosperous life!
