The poor
The homeless
The mother
The father
The son
The daughter
One by one
Died of hunger
The aunt
The uncle
The niece
The cousin
Followed them later
Oh! Poverty
Killing all the makers of history
Will you and I live to see
Poverty being history?

i´d really loved this one, it´s, i don´t know, well it´s real and sad and true.... anyway, i think we have the same prob writting, i always use rhymes i already know or that i´ve heard in songs and that makes my writing boring, it´s almost the same everytime.... anyway, i liked your poems much more than mine, you´re gonna be a great writter some day, just keep going :)
I think Chirs gave good advice that I should learn myself, that said, I enjoyed this poem, the message about how people suffer in the world is very important and the way you expressed it using family members made me feel it as I read it.
A brilliant ending to a simple poem. Beautifully done, Konjit! ! Brian
WOW, I dunno what to say, except that, that was a beautiful poem. Poverty affects all of us in some way. That was a great write, Never quit writing, Smiles N Hugs Willow: -)
I've been reading through quite a lot of your poetry, Konjit, and I find it fresh and young but at the same time much of it is deep and holds a message. I will continue to read it. I like this one for its simpliciity and for the last two lines, which finish it off brilliantly. Love, Fran xx
