If it bleeds
It recedes
Sex appeal
Threats unreal
Physical prowess
Calm under duress
These crawl away
It cannot stay
Time will devour
What is power
I love the tacit power of this poem. To me it brings out the truth about power. It never is verbose, but is. The images are terse, but powerful. Thanks
Poetry concentrates the power of the essential. This is a very powerful poem denoting the fragility of All versus Time. Excellently said in a very original way.
Thank you so much, Sandra. And yes, you have wonderfully expressed just what I had in mind...Thanks again.
This poem has power but can time devour it? Now you have propelled my mind into thoughts of cave dwelling men who painted their heroic hunting of the local prey and here we are ages since able to see those works of art- - except they are closing these caves off to visitors- -the breath we breathed in stunned appreciation is destroying them... so how long can our writings captured on memory sticks survive time? Power - - very intriguing poem
Thank you so much, Susan. And your remark about the cave drawings....you are reading my mind. Actually, when I first started to draft this poem some time ago, I had just re-read Ozymandias....
Nothing lasts forever. But the loss of power with time is most painful. Very nice.
Thank you for reading, Anil. And yes, time is so subtle, and possibly the ultimate power.

I would like to translate this poem
time is the most powerful mystery along with space, so this is a magical box, things to be placed in space and time acts, things reformed. in this space + time box, they can't catch the One Who is also here, the Great Player. beautiful rhyming and philosophical.
Thank you so much, Muhammad...Time- -the all consuming! Thanks again.
