Praise And Thanks - Poem by Mark Heathcote

When, my heart is subdued, on the verge of collapse
When my heart is subdued, when we haven't held hands
When, my heart is subdued, on the verges of romance
When my heart is subdued, when we haven't kissed lips
When, my heart is subdued, on the verge of a great expanse
When there's a moment forestalled in perhaps perchance
We will one day be spooned into each other's laps
Its then I remember to give due praise and thanks.

Sometimes it's better to remember and give due praise and thanks in anticipation. A lovely poem. (Report) Reply
