Prayer...The Essential Ingredient

Prayer is the essential ingredient
To bring you to the Lord
A good prayer to pray is for
An understanding of God's Word
Then prayer as a continuation
"Lord speak to my heart I pray"
"Help me come to know the Saviour
And may it be today! "

God loves this kind of prayer
For it reveals your heart
The seriousness of your seeking Him
Moves Him to do His part
The Holy Spirit undertakes
To bear witness to your will
And upon your exit from this earth
He'll remain with you still

I trust you are in a mode of prayer
Your search is on for God
That you've made a genuine effort
To attempt to read His Word
And open to the Spirit's leading
As to what you will read today
Remember the baby steps of faith
Begin when you learn to pray
