Pretty Kitty Poem by Lamar Cole

Pretty Kitty

Rating: 5.0

Little Jenna was playing outside in a California city.
When out of the wooded area came a pretty kitty.
She went to pet the kitty with the arched back.
Her dad sprinted to get rid of the bobcat.
Like he was running Olympic track.

This was NOT what I expected from the title of this poem! However, I've heard on news, and read that wild animals are increasingly encroaching on human turf. Forgot the reasons for this- - perhaps shortage of food, or else that man's development of the land is shrinking the animals' available living space. Just be glad that it was a relatively small bobcat, and not a cougar or lion! :)
