Price Poem by Abby Sze

Price

The society is judging criticising my choice
They set up example to show me how to talk
How I should stand and bail down to the norms
And a list of consequences if I don't walk along

People gathered at Time Square talked
Speaking the truth they learnt from the bible so they called
The neon God
They hung up on the giant wall
How many commandment did they learn and absorb

Cutting through
I cut through and dig deep on what they sold
Boxes of greed and bags of sloth
Tied by envy and locked by gluttony
Repackaged by free will with luxury they can't afford
The price is to get lost
Until you forgot
Who you truly are and why are you on this earth
