I love your smile because it lightens up my world,
I love your eyes because of the love they hold,
I love your nose because that's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen,
I love your lips because they take me where no one has ever been,
But most of all
I love your soul for it's the purest of all.

My world today, has turned upside down,
Instead of the smile you love, I sit with a frown,
I am suffering, I am in pain but I cannot scream,
For screaming will take me further away from my dream,
I want to do something, at least put up a fight,
My hands are tied and my mouth shut tight,
Defeated I sit, but now with a grin,
For no one can defeat the fire within.

Time will change; people will come and go,
We too shall keep going with the flow,
There are things that I will forget,
But not the sound of your heartbeat, I bet,
That sound of my name in your voice,
I can recognize it even in the noise,
I will grow old and frail,
But my love for you shall prevail,
I believe in love, I believe in you,
I will always hold on to that because you love me too.

One day, we'll be sitting together,
White haired and wrinkled, perhaps talking about kids and the trend,
There is so much more to come, this is not the end.
