Promise
That night the man fell asleep soon,
Suddenly he heard a call, a clear call,
Telling him angrily,
"Your nation is crying bitterly
And you are sleeping in peace,
You selfish man! "
He woke up in cold perspiration and felt ashamed,
Since then the man promised solemnly
To devote himself entirely to remove the suffering of his nation
And until and unless he succeeded to do it,
He would never sleep.
