Promise Bracelet Poem by Brielle Kellems

Promise Bracelet

We started with a friendship bracelet
That we wove around our wrists
But what I feel for you has grown
Like a seedling to a tree
That bracelet's now a blanket
That keeps me warm at night

Because I no longer want to be your friend
Tethered by our wrists
I'd rather build a treehouse in that tree
And become so much more
Because I love you
And I hope you love me too
