Promise Me You'll Remember
As truth true to thee
O thou poet,
Ready am I
To take a bet:
Thou art braver
Than ye might believe,
And stronger
Than impression ye give;
Smarter much more
Than ye think,
Thou canst sure write
Better than ye ink;
Never hold thyself down,
Thou art here to wear crown.

Thanks dear poet, your large and liberal heart shows here. As to the note in my poem, one has to bow to the spirit of the time, the zeitgeist, as they say. And I'm learning to do it the hard way, still not totally reconciled, the inflexible bone that i am.
