Quenched Fury Poem by Obinna Kenechukwu Eruchie

Quenched Fury

And fury so dense grips my soul,
Proceeds to darken it as whole
To go through such concrete desire
Great to deliver blast of fire.

Inwards is that sweet tempting hell
With an unyielding binding spell,
Exhilarating that I want more
As it increases in my heart’s core.

Not minding its harmful nature
That renders my soul so impure,
Such amazing strength it gives me
I receive with much pleasure spree.

I give no misgivings to all,
Don’t give a damn if I may fall.
Feeding on it so to be tough,
The tendency to act so rough.

Furious I morph to be a beast,
Ready to devour with great feast.
Like lightening I feel my soul tense
With remorse I catch sight of sense

Up I seek heaven’s help for love,
Giving me healing I seek of
Love I find now makes my soul thrive,
Making fury wither and dive.
