Rabid Tomfoolery Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

Rabid Tomfoolery

Bear with us as we plunge the dagger
Into all dreams you might have had
With drunken hate all simply stagger
From what was good to what went bad

Who blocked the roads with trees and cattle
Then mocked the effort once put forth
Created wars so nations battle
Those peaceful treaties meant to thwart

Imagine all the world afire
Base carnage to the ninth degree
Lost circumstances looking dire
A time in which foul rats run free

Indifference masking many forms
In guise of those who tried to speak
Condemns cold flesh evolved to worms
Old posters of carnival geeks.
