Raindrops Of Spring Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Raindrops Of Spring

Colorless raindrops unpretentiously begin to descend
They fall freely from the hovering gray clouds overhead
They are threatened by piercing sharp lightening bolts
Indiscriminate tears of sustenance are generously shed

Their spattering can be heard hitting upon the thirsty ground
The simultaneous pattering of spontaneous spring showers
A rapid percussion rhythm is quickly absorbed into the soil
Green plants are crowned with a rainbow of colorful flowers

The sound of thunder has faded and sunlight fills the sky
Mother Earth joyfully expresses thanks with radiant splendor
The magnificence of nature is bestowed upon astounded eyes
Largely due to life giving raindrops that willingly surrender
