It does not matter to me
that a few of my poems
will almost never be read
because a few of my poems
were written for only a few
or one and if only for one
then that one was enough
sometimes writing for only one
is more than enough
writing to fulfillment
need is everything
a poem written for one
who needed those words
in that time place space

I've read 6 or 8 of your prolific new poems, Terry, and I agree that the words we create are for the here and now; for us as writers, and if, by chance, someone else identifies with those words, all the better. But they must be said, here and now. Keep writing, my man! ! !
