There's a rat in my hat,
Building a nest.
She's white and so fat,
But I must protest.
I don't want a white rat,
building a nest,
In my new derby hat,
So I must protest.
I don't like fat rats,
Though they may be white.
When they're bigger than cats,
They can be a fright.
I suppose I must get,
A new derby hat.
Cause from what I can see,
It's a sure bet.
Some new baby rats will soon arrive,
Two or three, or maybe five.
My derby hat is now a home,
That big white rat, is not alone.
