Rays Of Enlightenment Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Rays Of Enlightenment

Vivid.

Here it is.
Out in the open and clear.
Sun rays cast upon it shadows.
So vivid is the change.

No one could can ignore or claim,
What appears and here they can not see.
Although many will remain fearful and deluded.
Perceiving themselves safe,
On the shores of denial.
Where many have stayed for decades.
While others familiar with truth,
And all its attributes.
Know their kept faith has validated,
With such vividness that sizzles...
Under a Sun done that has not foresaken,
Their commitment to truth.
And their sacrifices to have made.

Vivid.
And here it is.
As clear as hearing the ring of a bell.
To reject, accept or pretend,
The existence of it is insignificant.
Yet,
Pretensions to keep them...
Begin to dry as if to wish from a well.
Like a mirage fading to reveal,
Beliefs once to feast upon to discover false.
To know a lost cause this has been.
Because,
Truth to know it does not victimize.
Not like the ones,
Who have chosen to victimize themselves.
With it done to live their lives,
Depending on the telling of told lies.

Here it is.
Vivid.
Bold to behold and pressed up against noses.
Truth.
Removing masks away from false displayed faces.
Still doing their best to protect,
Ineffectively what is left kept.
Believed concealed and secret.
But too bold and vivid.
And much too clear are the defects,
Of a mindset being corrected from neglect.
With truth on the pursuit,
To undo the culprits wherever they nest.
Upset.
Even in their protected darkness.
Too vivid, bold and clear,
Are the rays of enlightenment.
No one can hide or deny them to refuse.
