Reaching Out
A poem reaches out
Knowing not,
What it will find
Will it reach another mind?
Will it move another's heart?
Will it be a consolation
For someone falling apart?
Will this poem be a hand,
That will kindly understand,
That will spread love and not hate.
Oh, that poem wish I'd write,
That would reach all human height,
Be compassion's guiding light.
