Read It Well Poem by Thomas Plotz

Read It Well

When you're boating, look out over the river; read it well. The dangerous shallows will shimmer in the sun. It may be tempting to move your boat for a better look, but don't stray too close. For the rocks and sand will ruin your fun. Stay clear, of the dancing light on the water smooth. Safer still, stay channel bound safe and sound.
