God, I know You always love me;
And yet, I sin that keeps You away;
God, I know Your heart’s full of mercy;
And yet, I anger You almost every day!

God, I know Your love for me is great;
And yet, I sin that You always hate;
God, I know You forgive always,
And yet, I’m not sorry for my sinful ways!

God, I know You pine for my soul,
And yet, I keep losing its purity;
God, I know You know me whole,
And yet, I cheat You, the Almighty!

God, I know You sent Your only Son,
And yet, I fail to realize Your love;
God, I know Christ came to save all men,
And yet, I doubt and question this, ‘somehow? ’

God, I know the Cross is my Salvation;
And yet, I slip onto damnation;
God, I know You’ll have Your way,
And bring my soul back to Thee someday!
