Reasons To Impeach Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Reasons To Impeach

Reasons to impeach?
There are several reasons.
However...
Those determined unforgivable.
And considered,
For immediate and unquestionable...
Impeachment proceedings would be:
1. Receiving foreign imoluments.
You know...
Using one's political office,
Specifically to enrich oneself.
2. Violating the domestic emoluments clause.
You know...
Receiving money while in office,
To do this intentionally.
For the purpose of more of it to get.
3. Obstructing justice.
A doing to do what one pleases to do.
Regardless of laws, rules, etc.
4. Witness intimidation.
Threatening anyone who decides to testify,
A knowing of wrong doing being conducted.
5. Abuse of power.
Taking steps to ignore acceptable,
And normal activities.
Beyond decisions agreed upon a team,
Of other elected officials without approval.
6. Violating the 1st and 14th amendments.
Someone ignoring them as if they don't exist.
7. Failing to faithfully execute the laws.
You know...
Someone who vows to do one thing.
But does another.
Intentionally to do or could care less,
Who thinks what about a doing...
Having nothing to do with law and order of it.
And...
8. Inciting violence.
Someone who does with intent to create conflict.

However...
Although very rare,
There is an exception.

"Exception?
What possible exception could there be? "

Someone elected to hold a political office.
Already known to embellish and lie,
About everything under the Sun, Moon and Stars.
Deceives and uses vulgarity in public speeches.
Dares to be impeached.
Yet...
Begs to have the proceedings begin.
Because of an attention,
Craved and feeds upon it!
And...
This presents those who should impeach,
A dilemma they are reluctant to pursue.

"This nonsense is crazy! "

And everyday the proof of it is witnessed.

"This is too incredible,
For anyone to accept the truth...
And the reality of it to believe."

Not only that.
But...
If Shakespeare was alive,
And had written anything remotely like this...
He'd be sitting in prison right now.
For betrayal and treason.
Just for the writing of it.
And sentenced to life,
For daring to have this publicly performed.
Anywhere on Earth to shock and maim,
The consciousness of all the people.
Claiming they had been appalled, offended.
And...
Feeling nauseated all at the same time.
