Reconciliation Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Reconciliation

Rating: 5.0

A shoulder that once
supported weight.
Sheltered a lover’s head.
Now forsaken
cannot carry own.

A silhouette never meant
to stand alone.

Fades into darkening
decadent desolate backdrop.
Whilest future breaks
into broken tomorrow.
Reason lies groundless.

A shoulder soothed once.
Supported weight.
Consoled a lover’s head.
Now forsaken.
Reason lies groundless.

A silhouette lives on alone.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

A well known feeling for me. And though, it´s not so lacerating because of the beatiful way you write, even about pain. Thank you, my friend

Great poem- although sad it shows the depth of emotion of a love lost. Well done. Spiritsong
