Recovery Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Recovery

Is there more intense pain
Out there in the rain?
Is loneliness more cutting
When clouds come again?

Does the brightness of sun
Ease the heart that's broken?
Do pieces one by one,
Mend the hurt, somehow lessen?

I forgot what it was after so many years,
Took ages to be gone, and a lot of tears.
But I've learned to get up whatever the cause
Days and nights will erase it, no time to pause.
