Red Roses Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Red Roses

Red Roses

Like other dictators
Shah leaned on his soldiers.

Guns in hands and bullets
Filling holes in the belts
Deployed were guards, soldiers.

Peace lovers, as always
Went to shops and gardens
And gathered red roses.

Stage was dangerous,
A commander's order
Could bring disaster
And bullets in brains…

"Worthless is my life if
Not devoted to peace, "
Said the men with roses.

Gifts in hands got close
To set rose in muzzle
Of gun of each soldier.

It was with kind whisper:
"You are my brother."

National Guard and army
Like today's Kentucky,
Chose to be with people
Not the lying rulers.

Hey sisters, brothers,
Remember to behave:
"Human, not like horse
Saddled to serve rulers."

The rulers play chess,
Narcissists, are, remain,
They use us in chess game
And smile at water!

Excellent poem Sir. Well said and very true. Dictactors count on the armed forces to enfoce. If enforcer refuses then game. Armies must protect the constitution not the lame leader.
