Regrets Of A Broken Heart Poem by angel lockheart

Regrets Of A Broken Heart

Rating: 4.5

There weren’t supposed to be strings,
This wasn’t supposed to hurt,
But now my heart only sings,
Songs of destruction and thirst.

My soul has been dehydrated,
It only can be quenched by you,
But it turns out I’m not entitled,
Because you never wanted me true.

My body doesn’t hold enough beauty,
And it’s not my inside that counts,
So I was only used absentmindedly,
Until a better replacement could be found.

Why did I care so much,
It was against the rules,
You are just a guy full of lust,
And don’t care who you hurt with your tools.

But somehow I need closure,
If friends we shall remain,
Because it was my heart you captured,
Though there’s only myself to blame.
