Rekindled Poem by David Harris

Rekindled

Rating: 4.8

How can love be rekindled
from an ocean of tears?
How can love be rekindled
after separation of many years?
How can love do these things
the answer is I do not know;
only that it does
time and time again.
The torch within the heart that smoulders
is rekindled to a flame again
as old loves burn bright
as new loves in the night.

True love never really dies, it weathers the storms and becomes stronger because of them. A beautiful poem on a subject that is very familiar to many. Nicely done - thank you, David! Linda :)
