Remembering The True Meaning Of Christmas

Watching as people go shopping, buying Christmas gifts for family
and friends, happy and smiling, greeting everyone in a happy mood.

Enjoying doing their Christmas shopping, buying quite a lot, for-
getting to gauge and tally the debt they will be left with after
Christmas is over.

Letting their joy and happiness dictate their spending and feelings
for another time, for now just being happy doing their shopping.

Although the first day of the Christmas Season isn't until December
17th - in the Catholic Church anyway, and it happens to be our 44th wedding anniversary this year.

Our Christmas tradition we've kept all these years is putting up the
tree on the 16th, but not decorating it at all.

Then on the 17th, the morning of our anniversary, playing Christmas
music while decorating the tree, family altogether helping us, then
shopping for presents later that day.

A joyous season, not all about presents and eating, just remembering
that Jesus was born on Christmas Day, a totally spiritual day of
peace and joy for our family anyway.
